Where it all started

Background Story

Hi, I’m Liliana, the founder of Modest Femme, and I’m so excited to share with you the heart behind this brand.

Modest Femme didn’t start as a business idea — it started as a prompting from the Holy Spirit.

One day, my sister in Christ, Marijella, shared with me that she felt led to tell me that I should start a modest clothing line. At the time, I didn’t see myself as the right person for that. I was still transitioning from an immodest style to one that truly honors my faith, so I didn’t feel like I was a qualified person to start a modest clothing line.

But I didn’t dismiss the idea. I took it to God. I fasted. I prayed — just like my sister encouraged me to do.

I remember waking up at 3:00 AM to seek Him about it. And that’s when everything shifted.

God led me to revisit the topic of modesty — and because I had placed Him at the center of my search, He opened my eyes to a new vision: dresses that reflect true beauty, style, and grace without compromising modesty. That’s when Modest Femme was born: Chic, but covered.

It came from a place of surrender and a deep desire to offer something so many women are searching for but rarely find: modest clothing that resonates with them — without making them look twice their age.

Through Modest Femme, I found my own modest style, and I believe that that was God's plan from the very beginning.

This brand is for the women like me who want to honour God with how they dress, without settling for a style that doesn’t feel like them. For the ones who want to feel confident, feminine, and covered — not hidden, not aged, and definitely not overlooked.

It’s for the ones in transition — those who’ve left behind immodest styles but haven’t yet found something they feel comfortable and beautiful in.

Modest Femme is here to change the narrative that modest clothing is boring.
And it’s not just for church.
Modest Femme pieces are made for every part of your life — from weddings and baby showers to brunch with the girls, date nights, special celebrations, and yes, church too. Because dressing with elegance and grace should never feel limited to just one part of your week. Because you can be holy and stylish.
You can be covered and still look like you.

And when you put God first, He gives you a glow and a beauty that no clothing ever could — the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. The pieces from Modest Femme are just bonuses to the real beauty that comes from within:

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."
